Dispatcher

This position involves specialized work in receiving and dispatching messages in a public safety communications center using telephone, radio, and other equipment. Duties include receiving emergency calls, dispatching officers and equipment, providing information, and maintaining communication logs. The role requires quick, sound judgment during emergencies and familiarity with local government operations, law enforcement, and the city’s geography.
